Duties
The Public Utilities Specialist serves as the Smithsonian's utilities contracting and budget expert.
In this position, you will:
- Develop and coordinate Smithsonian-wide policy, guidance, procedures, and programming for the Smithsonian utilities strategy.
- Oversee utilities contracting functions, budgeting, and technical support provided by various Federal agencies in the areas of utilities and energy services.
- Represent the Smithsonian Institution in GSA Utilities meetings, utility contract negotiations, review and approve utility service contracts and utilities invoices.
- Maintain the Utilities Billing System and programs.
