Python Developer

Description:

Ghritachi Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Developer to join their team for a long-term contract position based in Austin, TX and Sunnyvale, CA. This role requires a hands-on developer who can build scalable backend services in an event-driven architecture and deploy them effectively in Kubernetes environments. Candidates must be proficient in Python and Kafka, with strong fundamentals in software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Python Microservices Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Python microservices as part of a large-scale event-driven backend platform.

• Event-Driven Architecture: Utilize Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming to facilitate asynchronous communication among different backend systems and the API gateway.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for deploying and managing microservices. Implement CI/CD pipelines and focus on resilience and observability.

• Conversational Routing Logic: Build logic that interprets user intents and appropriately routes requests to external IVAs, internal models, or human agents.

• Systems Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with APIs, databases, and fulfillment systems.

• Monitoring & Logging: Implement robust monitoring using Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana for system observability and performance assurance.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):

• Python Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python. Expertise in frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Kafka Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including understanding of producers, consumers, topics, and partitions.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Microservices and RESTful API Development: Ability to design and build complex backend systems.

• Docker and Kubernetes: Proficient in containerization, writing manifests, using Helm charts, and managing K8s deployments.

• Strong Software Engineering Fundamentals: Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and scalable system design principles.
