Quality Inspector

Description:

Survitec Group Ltd., a global leader in Survival Technology with over 166 years of history, is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their Sharon Center, Ohio team. This permanent, full-time on-site role is vital to ensuring that quality control processes align with internal standards, customer requirements, and international compliance frameworks such as ISO9001.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for interpreting technical documents, such as drawings and work instructions, and conducting thorough inspections and testing of manufactured components across relevant product lines. This role requires ensuring timely inspection workflows that support continuous production, along with accurately documenting test data into computerized systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and inspection criteria

• Using measurement tools and operating various test rigs

• Performing in-process and final inspections of components

• Communicating inspection results and non-conformities with quality engineers and other departments

• Identifying and reporting continuous improvement opportunities

• Ensuring work areas are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD)

• Supporting Lean initiatives within the quality department

• Maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards

• Processing and documenting product failures

• Participating in bi-annual inventory counts

• Flexibly shifting roles within the Quality Department as required

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented with strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with ISO9001 standards

• Experience in quality assurance and internal audits

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, oral, and written)

• Ability to read drawings and use various inspection tools

• Capacity to evaluate problems and recommend effective solutions

• Ability to assess and monitor performance and implement corrective actions
