Quality Inspector

Description:

Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of precision cutting tools, is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join its New Berlin, Wisconsin facility. The Quality Inspector plays an essential role in ensuring that all products meet strict dimensional, finish, and quality specifications through careful measurement, inspection, and documentation.

This role offers a dynamic and stable work environment in a well-lit, temperature-controlled machine shop, ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and inspect various cutting tools and components to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Perform visual inspections and use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and microscopes to verify tolerances.

• Compare part dimensions and finishes against blueprints or work orders.

• Accurately document inspection results and report any deviations or production issues to team leads or supervisors.

• Support the quality and production teams by ensuring consistent adherence to company and industry standards.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience & Skills:

• Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, and microscopes.

• Strong mathematical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Clear and professional communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
