LJW Solutions, on behalf of a highly ranked national Amlaw firm, is seeking a skilled Real Estate (Construction) Associate with deep expertise in construction contracts and development-related transactions to join their thriving Real Estate Group. This role provides the opportunity to work on complex, high-value real estate development projects while engaging directly with leading clients, including developers, owners, and investors.

The selected candidate will play a key role in drafting, negotiating, and advising on construction agreements (including AIA and custom contracts), development agreements, design professional contracts, and related deal documents. You will be responsible for guiding clients through risk allocation, indemnities, and project structuring, ensuring projects are legally sound and strategically positioned for success. Exposure to acquisition, financing, and leasing transactions is considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, development agreements, and related real estate deal documents.

• Provide legal counsel on project delivery methods, indemnities, risk mitigation, and project structuring.

• Partner with clients such as developers, owners, and investors on complex, large-scale development projects.

• Collaborate with colleagues in the Real Estate Group and across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

• Contribute to client relationship management and business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• JD and admission to the California Bar (mandatory).

• 5+ years of real estate and construction law experience, with strong expertise in AIA and custom construction contracts.

• Experience with development agreements, design professional contracts, and related matters.

• Strong client advisory skills with the ability to lead and support complex transactions.
