A reputable general practice law firm based in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a skilled Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team, focusing on real estate lending transactions. The firm serves a diverse client base including real estate, banking, and commercial sectors, and offers a collaborative environment with a strong presence in NYC's real estate market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent banks and financial institutions in complex commercial real estate finance transactions.

• Draft and negotiate loan documents related to construction loans, acquisition loans, and term loans.

• Handle transactions involving various types of commercial properties.

• Collaborate effectively with developers, lenders, and government agencies.

• Review and coordinate due diligence, title issues, and survey matters.

• Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters relevant to real estate finance.

Preferred Experience:

• Strong background in commercial real estate lending.

• Experience with affordable housing financing such as HDC, HFA, LIHTC/Section 42 is a plus.

• Familiarity with New York and New Jersey real estate and banking laws.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Admission to practice law in New York (New Jersey admission is a plus).

• Strong skills in drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis.

• Ability to manage multiple real estate transactions independently.
