Real Estate Legal Counsel

Description:

Our Client is looking for a skilled Real Estate Transactions Counsel to join their in-house legal team. This role will focus on supporting our acquisitions, dispositions, and other real estate transactional matters nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and review purchase and sale agreements for single-tenant retail properties.
• Manage legal due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, and environmental reviews.
• Coordinate and oversee closings of acquisitions and dispositions.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments (Acquisitions, Finance, Asset Management) and external counsel, title companies, and brokers.

An ideal Candidate would have:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, including work with REITs or institutional investors.
• Deep understanding of real estate transactions, title/survey review, and closing processes.
