Description:

Physicians East, P.A. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team at the Quadrangle Endoscopy Center in Greenville, North Carolina. This full-time, on-site role operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional overtime to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Physicians East is committed to delivering quality, cost-efficient, and comprehensive healthcare services in Eastern North Carolina. The RN will actively participate in patient care within the Pre-Operative and Recovery settings and assist with gastrointestinal (GI) and pulmonary procedures in an ambulatory surgical center (ASC) environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the ASC.

• Preparing patients for procedures by obtaining vital signs, informed consent, and assisting with disrobing/gowning while providing comfort and reassurance.

• Ensuring all patient records are complete and equipment is properly set up before procedures.

• Monitoring patients during procedures, administering medications, and providing direct assistance to physicians.

• Transporting patients safely to recovery areas and continuously monitoring post-procedure patient vital signs and physical status.

• Providing post-procedure care, alerting physicians of adverse reactions, and ensuring a safe recovery environment.

• Assisting patients with discharge preparations, ensuring complete records, and communicating follow-up instructions.

• Administering medications orally, via injection, or intravenously as prescribed.

• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing (or eligible for reciprocity).

• Experience and knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols.

• CPR and ACLS certification required.
