Remarketing Specialist

Description:

Ally Financial is seeking a Remarketing Specialist who will provide efficient customer service and perform administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. The role involves working closely with customers, auto dealerships, vendors, and financial institutions to manage the inventory of pre-owned retail and lease-return vehicles. This position also includes responsibilities such as vehicle return management, transportation logistics, inspection, title coordination, and sales (online, physical, and direct-to-dealer).

Key Responsibilities:

• Build solid peer-to-peer relationships within a team environment to meet operational needs.

• Communicate effectively with external suppliers, customers, and dealers to provide exceptional service regarding routine requests.

• Support quality control and compliance programs, including self-assessment processes.

• Respond promptly to vendor requests (information, data, letters).

• Handle call escalations and customer disputes.

• Communicate process improvements and best practices.

• Identify issues or trends requiring escalation to leadership.

• Provide daily reporting to Supervisors and Management.

• Problem solve operational issues and recommend solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Experience: Some experience in financial services or related field is preferred.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.

  • Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently.

  • Initiative in collecting information and coordinating activities.

  • Ability to resolve routine problems using judgment and decision-making skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Pay Range: $48,880 - $57,200 USD

• Incentive Compensation: Eligible for annual incentive plan.
