Research Biologist

 

Description:

We are currently seeking a Biologist II with a strong background in pre-clinical sample analysis using ligand binding assays. This role will support the generation of high-quality bioanalytical data critical for Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies. You will work in a cross-functional scientific environment and contribute directly to drug development efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute experiments based on bioanalytical protocols and in vivo study designs

  • Analyze pre-clinical in vivo samples using hybrid manual/automated ligand binding assay workflows (e.g., MSD platform, ELISA)

  • Qualify and troubleshoot assays independently and interpret results

  • Manage samples and reagents using electronic systems like ELN and LIMS

  • Document all experimental work and contribute to technical reports

  • Participate in lab operations including maintaining equipment and updating SOPs

  • Communicate scientific plans and findings effectively in written and verbal form


Required Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or related field

  • 3–5 years (Biologist II) or 1–3 years (Biologist I) of relevant industry experience

  • Hands-on experience with Ligand Binding Assays (MSD or ELISA)

  • Skilled in using standard lab instruments: centrifuges, pipettes, automated systems

  • Proficiency in LIMS, ELN, Excel, and data analysis tools

  • Strong organizational skills, scientific rigor, and problem-solving abilities

  • Independent and self-motivated with excellent communication skills


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with lab automation systems

  • Prior work in bioanalysis, pre-clinical samples, and in vivo studies

  • Data-driven troubleshooting and assay development
