Safety Manager

Description:

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the company's Safety Program for renewable energy construction projects. As a Safety Manager, you will manage all aspects of project safety, ensuring a safe working environment across complex construction sites. You will provide leadership to project teams and collaborate with management to minimize safety risks and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the safety program on construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Conduct safety checks, identify infractions, and initiate Stop Work Authority when necessary.

• Guide onsite construction staff on corrective actions to eliminate hazards and mitigate risks.

• Lead safety initiatives, fostering a safety-focused culture among workers and management.

• Participate in and lead site safety committee meetings, reviewing safety reports and presenting findings to management.

• Track, compile, and present safety statistics to project leadership teams.

• Implement the Zero Injury System and drive safety excellence on all projects.

• Administer drug and alcohol testing and ensure jobsite first aid and emergency response supplies are maintained.

• Identify safety hazards and provide guidance on corrective actions to eliminate or minimize risks.

• Collaborate with the project management team to develop and maintain site-specific safety plans.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction safety, with a demonstrated ability to lead and provide safety guidance.

• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, record keeping, and injury management.

• CPR/First Aid Instructor certification and training experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain safety documentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety management.
