Sales And Service Route Driver

Description:

Safety-Kleen, part of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver based in Des Moines, IA. This role involves driving a Class B box truck to provide onsite servicing for parts washer machines, picking up containerized hazardous waste, and selling products and services along a defined customer route.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by following all safety policies and procedures.

• Visit 10-12 customer sites daily to provide service and maintenance.

• Replace 15- & 30-gallon solution drums and service parts washer machines.

• Clean out sediment from sinks and ensure machine functionality.

• Upsell products and services during customer visits and generate new sales leads.

• Serve automotive repair shops, fleets, and manufacturing businesses.

• Complete scheduled service, deliveries, and hazardous waste pickups promptly.

• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.

• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations.

• Follow all environmental health and safety guidelines.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class B CDL license.

• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of hire.

• Basic computer and math skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Physical ability to perform job tasks.

• Successful background check, drug screening, and physical exam.

• Compliance with OSHA respiratory protection standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL).

• Strong customer service skills.
