Description:

Talbots, a leading omni-channel specialty retailer of women's clothing, shoes, and accessories, is seeking a Retail Associate for its Southpoint store in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate is driven to create and build relationships with customers and the community, with a focus on prospecting and establishing a strong clientele. The role involves fostering a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer service, achieving sales goals, and promoting the Talbots brand through community activities and store events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and foster relationships with customers and community members

• Achieve sales and service metrics, including client outreach and appointment setting

• Share current products and fashion trends to inspire and build customer trust

• Actively participate in community and store activities that promote the Talbots brand

• Represent the brand image professionally

Qualifications:

• Passion for selling and creating meaningful customer connections

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Technological aptitude for navigating POS/computer systems

• Ability to work 20–29 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Comfortable with physical tasks such as climbing ladders, moving regularly, and standing for extended periods
