Sales Associate

Description:

World Market is a retail brand offering a unique assortment of international foods, artisan furniture, beverages, and on-trend décor. The Sales Associate role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, merchandising and stocking merchandise according to visual and safety standards, cashiering, maintaining store organization, and fulfilling curbside orders. This role supports the company’s inclusive culture emphasizing collaboration, respect, and diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with friendly, knowledgeable service reflecting World Market standards

• Stock merchandise following visual and safety guidelines

• Operate cash register and process transactions per customer service protocols

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the sales floor and stockroom

• Adhere to company loss prevention policies and procedures

• Physically unload trucks as needed

• Perform general housekeeping tasks as directed

Key Qualifications:

• Can-do attitude and commitment to collaborative and respectful work culture

• Minimum 1 year retail experience preferred, but not required

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Ability to initiate conversations and engage customers

• Minimum age 16 years

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
