Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing financial operations within our dynamic company. Your work will directly contribute to our mission to transform food production through robotics and cutting-edge farming technologies.

In this role, you will manage systems for budgeting, tracking expenses and revenue, and provide proactive alerts regarding financial issues. You will also develop financial models, oversee financing arrangements, optimize procurement strategies, and ensure accurate inventory audits. Your expertise will influence decision-making at the highest levels, helping to manage and improve profitability while ensuring compliance and financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement systems for budgeting and tracking expenses and revenue using NetSuite and QuickBooks Online (QBO).

• Monitor budgets, provide proactive alerts on potential issues, and ensure visibility into accrued expenses from issued POs related to product development and production.

• Develop financial models for scenario planning to evaluate operational variables and identify opportunities to enhance profitability.

• Oversee financing arrangements, including debt management, and explore non-equity capital financing options.

• Strategically plan procurement of parts and inventory to optimize costs and manage cash flow effectively.

• Conduct detailed inventory audits, ensuring accurate stock valuation and cost accounting.

• Manage customer contracts and payment terms to align with company financial policies.

• Maintain accurate records, oversee depreciation and amortization schedules, and perform account reconciliations.

• Manage the chart of accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in robotics or manufacturing industries.

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven ability to communicate financial data and strategic insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
