Senior Accountant

LHH is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing company in Dallas, TX that is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in public accounting or manufacturing accounting, offering exposure to financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Oversight: Prepare, reconcile, and analyze various general ledger account balances.

• Journal Entries: Prepare accurate and timely journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Financial Reporting: Assist in compiling and preparing schedules, analyses, and financial statements for both internal reporting and external audits.

• Budget & Expense Review: Analyze and review budgets, revenues, and expense entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Invoice & Document Review: Conduct reviews of invoices and other accounting documents to verify completeness and accuracy.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any accounting discrepancies or irregularities.

• Month-End Close: Support monthly financial closing processes, including profit and loss statement preparation.

• Team Support: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff and clerks.

• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the management team.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

• Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in either a public accounting firm or a manufacturing environment.

• Certifications: CPA or MBA preferred (CPA candidates are encouraged to apply).

• Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments.

Compensation & Work Environment:

• Salary Range: $95,000–$100,000 annually ($7916–$8333/month)
