We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant with strong full-cycle accounting experience and a predominantly manufacturing background. The ideal candidate can manage accounting operations end-to-end in a small, lean accounting team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, three-way matching, vendor discrepancies, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal and external audits.
• Reconcile credit card transactions, resolve customer discrepancies, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Use accounting software and ERP systems to maintain accurate financial records and support business decisions.

MUST-HAVE
• 5–10 years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience.
• Predominantly manufacturing company experience, with little to no background in public companies, nonprofits, or service companies.
• Experience managing accounting operations in companies with approximately $25–30 million or less in size.
• Experience working in a lean accounting team with fewer than three staff members.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems; MAS 90 and/or SAGE 100 experience should be verified.
• Ability to handle general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.
• At least one sustained employment period of 3–5+ years, preferably across multiple employers.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Chicago, with a commute of approximately 45 minutes or less.
