The Q Family Office in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a sharp, motivated individual to expand its Accounting & Financial Control divisions. These divisions trade hundreds of millions of securities a year through all the major Wall Street investment firms including stocks, bonds, swaps, options, derivatives, bank lending, and complex bankruptcy reorganizations.

This is a high-profile position with direct access to and interaction with individuals from all divisions of the company, including the company’s partners, CFO, general counsel and tax experts.

Broadly qualified and highly talented financial executive with extensive finance and accounting experience. She/He will ideally have successful experience in an operating finance position leading and developing a team.

This role is the logical first step on the path to becoming the CFO of a large hedge fund or one of our portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:

• Drive accounting operations by maintaining books for multiple domestic and offshore entities and refining processes and procedures.
• Perform complex reconciliations and transaction analysis
• Support decision-making on accounting issues while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Develop expertise in fund structures and assist with operational activities for investment funds and management companies.

Qualifications:

• Advanced financial expertise with MA/BA in Accounting, 5 to 10 years’ experience, and strong academic credentials.
• Operational finance leadership background as Divisional CFO, VP Finance, or Finance Director with proven hands-on performance.
• Skilled in financial reporting, controls, compliance, and systems implementation, plus business process optimization using technology and data analytics.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with VBA, SQL, and MS Query; adept at translating complex transactions into clear reporting.
