A premier full-service law firm, with a distinguished reputation for delivering exceptional legal services to a diverse clientele for over 150+ years, are expanding their litigation capability with a focus on strengthening the team’s complex commercial foreclosure skill set. Due to current economic factors, which has caused an uplift in their inbound matters, the firm are now looking to further bolster their Real Estate Litigation team.

As a firm, having multiple offices across the Tri-State area, they currently boast a headcount of 150+ Attorney’s. Renowned for their collaborative culture, and commitment to excellence, the firm have mandated us to identify an Attorney to join their Real Estate department focused on litigation matters pertaining to foreclosure in their New York office.

After appointing two Associates onto their transactions team, for Real Estate law, we are now tasked with connecting the firm with detail-orientated & proven Litigators.

Overview

The firm is scouting for a talented Attorney, ideally 2012 - 2015 J.D. graduate, with extensive experience in Commercial Real Estate Litigation, specializing in contested foreclosures of multifamily, retail, and other commercial properties.

Additional expertise in title disputes, lien priority, UCC, and lender liability claims is highly valued. The role offers the opportunity to handle complex, high-stakes cases alongside accomplished attorneys in a supportive and dynamic environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing all phases of commercial foreclosure litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and appellate briefs
• Handling contested foreclosure matters involving multifamily, retail, and other commercial properties
• Prosecute and defend actions related to note and guaranty recovery, contract disputes, and judgment enforcement
• Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships, delivering practical and timely legal advice

What they need:

• J.D. (2012-2015, flexible), admitted in NY
• 6–10 years of direct experience in commercial real estate litigation, emphasizing contested foreclosures, with the ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of New York foreclosure laws
• Possesses proven experience in note and guaranty recovery, contract disputes, and judgment enforcement
• Has additional experience with prosecuting and defending actions involving title, title coverage, lien priority, UCC, and lender liability claims (a strong plus)
• Exhibits exceptional drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills with keen attention to detail
