RSM US LLP, a leading global provider of professional services to the middle market, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate for its Accounting and Finance Consulting (AFC) practice, with a strong focus on Capital Markets and Transformative Events. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about complex accounting issues, business advisory, and providing strategic solutions to diverse clients in industries such as financial services, technology, life sciences, and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will work closely with engagement managers, partners, and clients to provide technical accounting guidance, assist with financial advisory engagements, and deliver high-quality consulting services. This position offers significant exposure to challenging and varied projects in a collaborative and growth-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in multiple consulting engagements within the Accounting and Finance Consulting practice.

• Provide technical accounting and financial advisory guidance to clients on complex transactions.

• Maintain and develop technical accounting capabilities leveraging firm resources.

• Deliver timely, high-quality client service and manage consulting work plans and deliverables.

• Collaborate with engagement teams to monitor productivity and adherence to schedules.

• Assist in drafting technical memos and client deliverables.

• Identify performance improvement opportunities for clients.

• Develop an understanding of clients’ businesses and key industry drivers.

• Recognize opportunities to expand services and communicate them to management.

• Travel up to 25% annually based on client needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 1+ years of experience in public accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS for public and private companies.

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with capital market transactions (IPO readiness, SEC reporting, SPAC transactions).

• Knowledge of complex debt & equity structures, carve-outs, acquisitions, and bankruptcy accounting.

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $69,800 – $132,000 annually (approx. $5,816 – $11,000 per month).
