Description:
Primary Talent Partners has a 12-month contract for a Civil Engineer with our great Industrial Gas client in Houston, TX.
- Open to local candidates only, must be willing to work onsite 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Key Duties:

- Prepare and provide estimates, scope of work documents, technical reviews, analysis, and design.
- Provide input for Proposal/Geotechnical Investigation, Engineering, Bid, and Construction phases.
- Assist project and engineering teams in developing and implementing site-specific civil-structural design methodology, estimates, and scope of works with Air Liquide budget and schedule in mind.
- Emphasis on Civil Design & Experience for Hydraulic and Hydrological design of industrial plants in the Gulf Coast and other regions across the US.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with in-house Engineering Delivery team, other E&C Centers, and third-party contractors/firms.
- Verify inputs from internal/external design team members and vendors, identifying inconsistencies, errors, and omissions.
- Interface with and expedite outside EPC/engineering entities to meet Air Liquide scope, budget, and schedule.
- Check EPC construction deliverables for thoroughness of design and engineering detail.
- Perform civil-structural engineering and design for industrial infrastructure and plant construction.
- Assist project and construction teams in resolving civil-structural issues during engineering and construction.
- Review vendor/fabricator shop drawings as required.
- Respond to RFIs and TQs as needed.
- Support Engineering Delivery group with interdisciplinary technical requests (piping, E&I, etc.).
- Contribute to improvements in design techniques (dynamic equipment, cooling towers, piling, etc.).
- Obtain PE license and provide responsible charge duties for civil-structural scope.
- Strong understanding of structural design for foundations, structural steel, and connection designs.
- Knowledge of civil activities including hydrological design and routing for greenfield and brownfield developments.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with PE or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain PE licenses by comity or reciprocity in other states.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an EPC setting.
- Willingness to travel 25% to project locations and engineering offices as required.
- Ability to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
- Current TX Professional Engineering License.
