Senior Controller

Description:

Piper Maddox have been engaged on a Senior Controller/Head of Accounting role for a leading owner and operator of sustainable infrastructure across a variety of distributed energy projects.

This business started as a smaller, nimble, entrepreneurial environment, and has continued to grow its footprint in the DG space – they are now at an inflection point where they are growing the volume and diversity of their assets.

Responsibilities

• Mature accounting function to make sure it is well set up for the future as the portfolio grows and becomes more complex - new processes and automations
• New accounting system upgrade and implementation
• Take full ownership of the accounting function, working closely with the CFO.
• Run and grow the accounting function to be able to handle the upcoming business needs.

Qualifications

• CPA required
• GAAP knowledge
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Previous accounting experience in the renewable energy industry
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
• Leadership/managerial experience - need to scale the accounting function and team
