Senior Data Governance Engineer

Daley And Associates, LLC is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join a growing technology team focused on data governance and data quality. This role is crucial in shaping how the organization manages and trusts its data across the enterprise. The candidate will collaborate with data management and engineering teams to implement tools, frameworks, and quality checks that improve data reliability, discoverability, and consistency. This position is ideal for someone passionate about data as a strategic asset, thrives on solving complex problems, and works with modern cloud and data management technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, including data catalogs, data lineage, and data quality systems.

• Implement data standards, policies, and architectures in alignment with governance goals.

• Design and implement data quality rules and source-system checks across pipelines and datasets.

• Develop automated tracking and reporting of key data quality metrics and KPIs.

• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to improve data processes and ensure high-quality data flows.

• Provide technical support and tools that enable teams to execute governance activities efficiently.

Tech Stack & Experience:

• Python and SQL (Snowflake, MSSQL, or similar).

• Cloud experience, particularly AWS (2+ years).

• Experience with Power BI and/or DBT is a plus.

• Proven experience designing and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Prior experience in finance or asset management is helpful but not required.
