Senior Director Of Accounting

RealREPP is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Accounting to lead and oversee the company’s accounting operations at its Monterey, TN location. This executive-level position reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial information, managing accounting teams across the U.S. and Canadian operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced financial expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role includes a significant scope of responsibility including financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and system implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and Canadian GAAP where applicable.

• Ensure timely and accurate book closings and account reconciliations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

• Coordinate and manage external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategic planning.

• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and filings in coordination with external advisors.

• Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Evaluate and implement accounting systems and process improvements.

• Collaborate with other departments to support company-wide initiatives and projects.

Minimum Requirements

• 10+ years of professional accounting experience.

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• CPA or similar professional designation is considered a plus.

• Proven leadership skills with experience interacting at executive management levels.

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis tools.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Experience with SAP implementations and operations.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 30% travel, including frequent visits to Canadian operations.
