Capital One, through TalentAlly, is hiring a Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Full Stack) for its growing digital engineering initiatives in the Greater Chicago Area. You will be a part of a cutting-edge environment driving technological transformation, overseeing strategic cloud-based software development, and contributing to critical regulatory solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple software projects and a diverse team of developers specializing in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.

• Collaborate closely with digital product managers to deliver innovative cloud-based platforms.

• Stay current on technology trends, participate in tech communities, and occasionally contribute code or review code.

• Use languages and technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

• Guide implementation of scalable APIs and architecture that serve millions of users securely and efficiently.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience (excluding internships)

• At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Minimum 4 years of experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree

• 9+ years’ experience with one or more programming languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, TypeScript, SQL, or Go

• 3+ years of experience in cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• 4+ years with open-source frameworks

• 7+ years of team leadership experience

• 2+ years working in Agile environments
