Description:
Cencora, a global leader in healthcare distribution and logistics solutions, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join its high-performing Distribution Center in Shakopee, MN. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations in a large, complex, and automated facility. As a pivotal leader within the organization, the Senior Operations Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations and will be groomed for potential advancement into a Director-level role within 12–24 months, supported by relocation if necessary.

Lead warehouse operations across the facility with a strong focus on outbound operations, automation systems, and compliance.
Partner with the Director of Operations in executing strategic initiatives and training to prepare for higher-level leadership.
Directly manage warehouse managers and their teams, driving a high-performance culture rooted in Cencora’s purpose and values.
Implement operational strategies that increase productivity, improve service quality, and reduce costs.
Oversee order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory stocking, and labor utilization across shifts.
Lead succession planning and talent development for leadership growth within the Distribution Center (DC).
Ensure consistent adherence to DEA regulations, SOPs, safety protocols, and security measures.
Monitor facility KPIs and initiate change management efforts to improve outcomes.
Facilitate training, development, and performance evaluations for warehouse staff.
Proactively address and resolve performance, compliance, and process-related issues.
Maintain equipment standards, cleanliness, and functionality throughout the facility.
Must be available for extended hours, split shifts, and occasional weekends based on business demand.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of progressive experience in warehouse or distribution center management.
Strong knowledge of automated warehouse systems and operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a compliance-critical, fast-paced environment.
Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals or healthcare).
Exposure to both human and animal health distribution models.
