This Position reports to:

Operations Manager

ABB’s Process Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the world’s largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun – leaner and cleaner.

We offer a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software as well as measurement and analytics solutions and services.

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size and/or complex to large projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the oversight of team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution, especially in smaller units.

The work model for the role is: On-site and some Hybrid

This role is contributing to the IAEN in US. Main stakeholders are US Sales and Operations

You will be mainly accountable for:

Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
 

• Providing leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.
• Supporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
   

Qualifications for the role:
 

• You are highly skilled in and you enjoy working with highly technical projects and the Oil and Gas, Chemical, Power and water industries.
• You have 12 + yrs years of experience in Automation industry managing complex projects.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of / You are qualified in / Highly adept in leading a diverse group of technical leads, including remote resources.
• You are passionate about / you are captivated by / you are innovative around delivering exceptionally executed projects on time and on budget.
• Degree in Engineering in Electrical, Automation, or related field.
• You are at ease communicating with other cultures.
• You hold current work permit in US and do not need any further sponsorship.
