Position Summary:
- Join a high-impact R&D team dedicated to pioneering new life science technologies.
- As a Reliability Engineer, you will provide the hands-on technical expertise and analytical rigor necessary to develop complex instrumentation.
- You’ll be the bridge between design and durability, managing the full lifecycle of reliability projects to ensure our products are robust, precise, and market-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage multiple reliability projects, providing risk assessments to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Risk Mitigation: Create and implement comprehensive test plans to mitigate risks in new product designs.
- Technical Facilitation: Lead multidisciplinary FMEA discussions to evaluate and prioritize technical risks.
- Data Mastery: Record, organize, and analyze large datasets using tools like Minitab, MATLAB, JMP, or R to drive critical decision-making.
- Root Cause Analysis: Direct investigations into instrument failures, guiding the team toward effective corrective action and validation.
- Design Input: Collaborate with engineering to ensure reliability fundamentals are integrated into the initial design phase.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (plus 5+ years of reliability experience) OR a Master’s degree (plus 2+ years of reliability experience).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of reliability fundamentals (life predictions, product life modeling, environmental/accelerated testing).
- Toolbox: Experience with test automation (LabView, Arduino) and statistical knowledge (Six Sigma, DOE).
- System Knowledge: Familiarity with fluidic, optical, and/or electro-mechanical systems.
- Environment: Willingness to work in a BSL2 lab and prepare blood samples for testing (comprehensive training provided).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to escalate top issues through clear, well-structured updates to stakeholders.
