Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Description:

US Tech Solutions is actively hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support non-production environments at a top-tier financial institution. The role demands expertise in observability tools and strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) through monitoring, alerting, and proactive resolution.

This contract-based, on-site role (not remote) requires local candidates only for Dallas, TX, Minneapolis, MN, or Brookfield, WI, with potential work at Columbia Center as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead observability efforts across non-production environments by setting up and managing APM, logs, monitoring systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms.

• Ensure platform reliability by supporting uptime goals through real-time monitoring and rapid incident response.

• Analyze incident noise, track metrics, and report on service-level objectives and reliability KPIs.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve incidents quickly and efficiently.

• Engage in on-call rotations, troubleshoot system-level issues, and continuously improve alerting fidelity.

• Work with ServiceNow to review incidents, problem records, and generate analytics on recurring events.

Required Skills & Technologies:

• Splunk – minimum 3 years of hands-on experience

• AppDynamics – minimum 3 years of experience with APM setup and optimization

• Datadog – minimum 3 years with real-time monitoring and alert systems

• Batch Monitoring – 3+ years of experience

• ServiceNow – 3+ years for incident and problem tracking

Project Summary:
This project involves launching full-scale monitoring and availability support for non-production environments. The role will focus on ensuring tight SLA adherence, observability, issue detection, and resolution.

Duration: 7 months with a high possibility of extension
Work Type: On-site only; relocation not considered
