Senior Systems Architect

Description:

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Architect to lead the architecture, design, implementation, and support of enterprise core systems, including Linux platforms and complex IT infrastructures. This role demands expertise in cloud infrastructures (private and public), hyper-converged platforms, storage technologies, and enterprise networking.

The Senior Systems Architect will play a key role in ensuring high system reliability, scalability, and compliance with PCI DSS requirements. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, the ability to handle high-risk changes with precision, and the expertise to design long-term strategies while implementing tactical plans that meet evolving business needs.

This is a hybrid role based in Fort Worth, TX, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems architecture, ensuring security, scalability, and compliance

• Lead upgrades, migrations, and platform replacements before end-of-support milestones

• Manage and document engineering updates, policies, and system diagrams

• Collaborate with vendors, define requirements, and review statements of work

• Implement threat protection platforms, web application firewalls, and load balancing solutions

• Drive change management processes and site reliability engineering initiatives

• Provide 24x7x365 on-call rotation support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 5+ years of experience, or HS/GED with 9+ years

• 5+ years of experience managing on-premise private cloud and/or public cloud virtual infrastructures

• Expert knowledge of hyper-converged platforms, enterprise systems, middleware, storage, and networking technologies

• Strong experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and software-defined networks

• Experience with scaling systems horizontally and vertically

• Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance and audit control implementation

• Strong change management process experience

• Passion for private/public cloud infrastructures and emerging technologies

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in site reliability and chaos engineering principles
