Senior Technical Accountant

LHH is working with a technology client in the Dallas area that is looking for a Technical Accountant. This company is one of the largest in their industry, and their clients are some of the most well-known businesses in the world. Our client is looking for someone with public accounting and a CPA. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing new technical accounting standards, working with the outside auditors, and preparing journal entries. Responsibilities:

• Analyze new accounting standards to determine impact on company and implement new accounting standards
• Address year-end auditor inquiries via supporting schedules and accounting memorandums
• Conduct and document research of non-routine accounting transactions
• Prepare and record general ledger journal entries for nonroutine transactions
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, sales, operations and other functions across the company
• Serve as a back up for the consolidation team
• Support the preparation of the annual and quarterly financial statements and footnotes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• 4+ years of experience, public accounting preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/ accounting theory
