Service Account Manager

 

Description:

ABB, a global leader dedicated to sustainable electrification solutions, is seeking a Service Account Manager who will drive sales, account management, and customer relationship strategies within ABB’s electrical division. This role focuses on delivering value to customers by aligning ABB’s sales and marketing strategies with customer business drivers, achieving sales targets, and managing account growth.

The Service Account Manager will collaborate across divisions and countries, ensuring coordinated efforts in sales, marketing, and service delivery, while monitoring competitive activities to maintain ABB’s market position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand key business drivers of customer accounts and identify ABB’s opportunities and impacts

  • Define and propose sales targets and ensure achievement through structured follow-up processes

  • Sell ABB’s products, solutions, and services focusing on volume, mix, and profitability

  • Develop and execute coordinated sales approaches including frame agreements and Approved Vendor Lists (AVL)

  • Apply and drive the use of standardized Marketing & Sales processes and tools (Salesforce, account plans, AVLs)

  • Lead the development and implementation of account plans and Statements of Work (SoW) for growth

  • Monitor and respond to competitors’ activities within accounts


Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years in sales or account management roles

  • Proven experience in designing and executing commercial plans and marketing strategies

  • Good knowledge of ABB’s SEAM Core Portfolio including Arc Flash, Infrared, Preventative Maintenance, and Renewables

  • Demonstrated leadership in building organizational capabilities, systems, and high-performance cultures in marketing and sales

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication, networking, collaboration, and intercultural skills

  • Strong leadership, people development, and change management experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Engineering or Business Administration
