Solutions Architect

Description:

BOK Financial is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead architecture activities that guide the development, evolution, and management of enterprise solutions. The role focuses on designing solutions that align with business strategy, enterprise architecture standards, and future business agility. The Solutions Architect will work closely with Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, development teams, IT management, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs and drive strategic initiatives such as cloud modernization, API integration, Data Lakehouse, and core modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and technical leadership to evolve architecture and solve complex business problems.

• Develop high-level solution visions through upfront assessments for specific business cases.

• Deliver solution designs aligned with business and technology strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to build, evolve, and prototype solutions, resolving complex technical issues.

• Conduct architecture reviews and provide actionable recommendations.

• Assess technology options for business needs, performing trade-off analysis and providing recommendations.

• Offer internal consulting, training, and knowledge sharing to enhance architectural capabilities and foster collaboration.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum 7+ years technical experience; 5+ years in at least two IT solution development disciplines (application development, middleware, cloud, infrastructure, network, database)

• 2+ years building cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• 2+ years developing modern applications with serverless, containerization, orchestration, and APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL)

• Strong knowledge of software engineering, architecture fundamentals, multiple programming languages (Java, C#, Python, Go), multiple architectural styles (layered, microkernel, service-based, event-driven), and multiple database technologies

• Knowledge of frontend web development, SDLC, Agile/Kanban/DevOps, UML/C4/ArchiMate, TOGAF/Zachman/AWS/Azure frameworks

• Understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and their business applications
