At LCRA, we are seeking a driven and detail-orientated individual for our Energy Services Mechanic position! This is an opportunity to join the mechanical maintenance team at Lost Pines Power Park. Responsibilities include the upkeep, inspection and repair on all mechanical maintenance at three facilities: Lost Pines, Sim Gidion and Winchester Power Park. You Will Be Trusted To
- Install, remove, inspect, repair, test, adjust, and align mechanical equipment, including air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps, and fans. Dismantle and reassemble turbine generators.
- Perform welding on various types of piping and/or structures as required and certified to conduct. Perform fabrication tasks such as cutting, welding, and fitting. Perform sandblasting and painting operations. Perform excavations in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Perform confined space entries as required.
- Assist electrical and control personnel in performing various tasks.
- Operate handheld manual tools and power tools (e.g., rock saws and cut-off saws) in performing repair and maintenance tasks.
You Qualify With
- Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
