Dawson, a recognized and award-winning international accounting firm, is currently seeking a Staff Tax Accountant to join their growing Cleveland, OH office. This is a full-time, on-site role with the flexibility of a hybrid schedule (1 day remote per week) after the initial training period. This position is ideal for individuals in the early stages of their accounting careers who are looking for a stable and growth-oriented work environment.

As a Staff Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing business tax returns, handling multiple client accounts, and supporting the firm’s tax compliance functions. You will build meaningful client relationships through clear, honest communication, and you’ll be expected to contribute independently while collaborating effectively within a team setting.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local business tax returns.

• Managing multiple tax projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Communicating professionally with clients from across the U.S. to address questions and provide support.

• Utilizing tax software and productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and Zoom.

• Supporting other accounting functions as required by the firm’s operations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is mandatory.

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles is preferred.

• Familiarity with tax preparation software and general productivity tools.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and team collaboration skills.
