619 Recruiting is seeking an experienced Superintendent for large-scale commercial construction projects in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years overseeing ground-up projects, particularly in sectors such as K12 education, Higher Education, Healthcare, or large Industrial projects with scopes ranging from $20M to $60M+.

The Superintendent will lead and coordinate all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, enforcing quality control and safety standards, managing site teams and subcontractors, and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders. The role requires proactive problem solving to avoid delays and ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate construction activities from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

• Develop and maintain project schedules; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as necessary.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors for seamless project execution.

• Implement and enforce quality control and safety protocols onsite.

• Conduct regular inspections for compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.

• Manage and mentor onsite construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to foster productivity.

• Maintain open communication with stakeholders, reporting project status and addressing concerns.

• Identify and resolve construction-related problems promptly, anticipating and mitigating potential delays.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in large-scale commercial construction.

• Extensive knowledge of commercial construction processes, codes, and standards.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent project management skills including scheduling and budgeting.

• Proficiency in construction management software.

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is desirable but not required.
