Surgical Technician

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist/ Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based surgical setting. This role supports a variety of surgical specialties and requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Shift Details

• Day shifts: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Schedule may vary between the two shifts
• On-call required: Approximately one night per week and one weekend per month

Surgical Specialties

• Orthopedics
• Ophthalmology
• General Surgery
• Urology
• Gynecology
• C-Sections
• ENT

Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (DaVinci and orthopedic robots) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation
• Follow all infection control, safety, and surgical protocols
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

• Active Surgical Technologist certification
• DORA Certification (required)
• Previous hospital OR experience preferred
• Ability to take call as scheduled
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
