Tax Accountant

Description:

We are looking to fill a Tax Accountant role with a growing company in Dallas. The position offers the opportunity to work for a family-friendly company that values work-life balance. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate tax information for the company and will have upward mobility in the company.

Duties

• Participate in planning of workflow to ensure completion of assigned returns.
• Prepare partnership, corporate, individual and personal property tax returns.
• Internal contact as needed between various departments to facilitate completion of tax issues.
• Assist fellow department members in order for the department to complete annual tax season goal.
• Daily use of multiple software programs for organization of workpapers, tax returns and workflow management.
• Analyze unaudited financial statements to determine adjustments necessary for accurate tax treatment.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Tax or related field
• CPA eligible or EA eligible is a plus
• 1-3 years’ experience in public accounting or its equivalent
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
• ProSystem fx Tax (Axcess Tax), Engagement & BNA Income Tax Planner
