Description:
The Teamcenter Functional Consultant acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by analyzing business requirements, designing PLM solutions, configuring Siemens Teamcenter, and ensuring successful implementation. The consultant works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to optimize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements through stakeholder workshops.
- Document current ("As-Is") and future ("To-Be") business processes.
- Configure Teamcenter modules including:
- My Teamcenter
- Structure Manager
- Workflow Designer
- Change Management
- Schedule Manager
- Classification
- Prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
- Configure data models, item types, attributes, LOVs, and access controls using BMIDE.
- Design and support workflows, lifecycle management, and BOM management.
- Collaborate with technical teams for Teamcenter integrations with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and CAD tools (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Support data migration, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production deployment.
- Conduct end-user training and prepare user documentation.
- Provide post-implementation support and recommend process improvements.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Teamcenter functional consulting or PLM implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Teamcenter PLM
- BMIDE
- Workflow Configuration
- Change Management
- Product Structure (BOM)
- Access Manager
- Organization & Roles
- Experience with CAD integrations (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Understanding of ERP integrations (SAP/Oracle).
- Knowledge of engineering change processes (ECR/ECO).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
