Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, client-facing technical professional to support a software-intensive industrial automation project based in Cleveland, OH. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who can confidently represent the delivery organization onsite, serve as the key coordination point between the client and offshore India teams, and maintain strong communication with internal leadership.
This role is not strictly development-focused nor purely administrative. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, proactive, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced client environment while maintaining excellent communication and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the main onsite contact for daily coordination and communication activities at the client location.
- Handle client inquiries, delivery tracking, issue escalations, and provide visibility into project status and progress.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, offshore delivery teams, and internal leadership to ensure successful execution and alignment.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on project status, risks, blockers, client feedback, shifting priorities, and pending action items.
- Monitor and track technical discussions, decisions, open issues, risks, and follow-up activities.
- Support software-centric industrial automation initiatives including troubleshooting, requirements clarification, validation coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
- Translate client requests into actionable tasks for offshore teams and ensure timely completion and follow-through.
- Participate in client meetings, document key discussions and meeting notes, and drive accountability for follow-up actions.
- Coordinate daily activities across engineering, testing, validation, and support functions.
- Establish strong client confidence through ownership, responsiveness, professionalism, and structured communication practices.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing software systems, industrial applications, controls software, or related technical coordination roles.
- Strong background in client-facing coordination, onsite technical support, solution delivery, or technical program coordination.
- Solid understanding of industrial automation environments and workflows.
- Experience working with PLC, SCADA, HMI, systems integration, or software validation environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively multitask across meetings, reporting, escalations, follow-ups, and technical coordination activities.
- Comfortable operating in environments with changing priorities, ambiguity, and escalations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with offshore teams and maintain strong execution ownership.
- Strong sense of accountability, urgency, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience with software validation, testing coordination, requirements review sessions, or defect triage activities.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing technology, industrial software platforms, smart factory initiatives, or automation solution environments.
- Experience supporting India-based offshore teams while working directly from a customer location.
