Description:

ONEOK, a Fortune 500 leading midstream service provider with over 100 years of business excellence, is seeking a Technician based in the Kansas City area. The role involves providing operational, technical, electrical, and mechanical support for facility assets primarily associated with the transportation of crude oil and refined products. This intermediate or journey-level role requires troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing a range of systems and equipment independently or with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities include managing valve sites and pump stations, performing routine maintenance, repairs on pumps, motors, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, measurement systems, piping systems, and valves. The technician will also maintain accurate documentation and manage location projects, ensuring adherence to System Integrity Plan (SIP) and Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, with significant experience handling tools, equipment, electronic systems, and compliance with safety practices and governmental regulations. Strong technical skills, proficiency in interpreting schematics, charts, and mechanical drawings, and the ability to manage projects are essential.

The role demands physical strength, with frequent lifting, balancing, stooping, climbing, and working under varied environmental conditions including exposure to extreme temperatures, moving mechanical parts, and potential electric shocks. Travel within the assigned area is expected, and possession of a valid driver’s license is required for company vehicle operation.
