Description:

Klein Tools, a well-established leader in manufacturing high-quality tools, is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to join its dynamic production team in Trevose, PA. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled individual to contribute to the company's high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation.

In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering blueprints and specifications to plan, fabricate, and maintain complex dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in the production process. You will work with a variety of machine tools including lathes, grinders, and milling machines, while also ensuring precision measurements and tolerances are met using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.

Your role will be crucial in troubleshooting and improving tooling performance, recommending design enhancements, and maintaining the company’s commitment to lean manufacturing and 6S standards. A strong background in mechanical tooling, precision machining, and blueprint interpretation is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures based on technical drawings

  • Operate manual and CNC machines to execute high-accuracy machining

  • Inspect components using precision measurement tools to ensure accuracy

  • Collaborate with design teams for tooling improvements

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

  • Support production by creating templates and work aids as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)

  • 3–5 years of hands-on tool and die making experience

  • Expertise in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and tolerance specifications

  • Proficient with hand tools, machine tools, and precision instruments

  • Knowledge of trigonometry and mechanical design fundamentals

  • Associate’s degree or vocational certification in machining or mechanical technology (preferred)
