Venafi Administrator

Description:

AceStack is seeking an experienced Venafi Administrator to lead enterprise TLS/SSL certificate lifecycle management using the Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP). The role requires strong system administration skills across Windows and Linux/Unix environments, automation expertise, and collaboration with various technical teams to maintain secure, compliant certificate infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and configure the Venafi Trust Protection Platform for certificate lifecycle management including issuance, renewal, revocation, and inventory tracking.

• Develop and implement automation workflows using PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Venafi APIs to streamline certificate provisioning and renewal.

• Integrate Venafi with cloud platforms such as Azure Key Vault and AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) for automated certificate management.

• Collaborate with teams managing Sectigo, DigiCert, Keyfactor, or similar certificate management platforms.

• Monitor and act promptly on renewal alerts and notifications to avoid certificate-related outages for critical production systems.

• Provide support for automated certificate delivery to network, application, and infrastructure layers.

• Troubleshoot certificate-related problems, reducing risks and ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation covering configurations, standards, and operational procedures.

• Work closely with security, cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align certificate management with broader enterprise security posture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7 to 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years in Windows and Linux/Unix server administration.

• Proficient with PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation.

• Hands-on experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform.

• Familiarity with other certificate management platforms like Sectigo, DigiCert, or Keyfactor.

• Strong understanding of TLS/SSL protocols, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and certificate lifecycle management best practices.

• Experience integrating certificate management with Azure Key Vault, AWS ACM, and other cloud services.

• Knowledge of secure key storage, certificate rotation, and compliance requirements.

• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
