Responsibilities:
- Defend employers and carriers in workers’ compensation matters from claim investigation through hearings and resolution
- Manage cases including discovery, medical evidence, depositions, and motion practice
- Prepare for and participate in mediations, hearings, and related proceedings
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
- Take increasing ownership of files with practical, hands-on responsibility
Requirements:
- JD and active NJ bar (NY bar a plus)
- 3–7+ years of workers’ compensation or related insurance defense experience
- Strong organizational and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload with increasing independence
