Accounting Analyst

Description:

Vaco Atlanta is partnering with a leading retail client in Duluth, GA to hire an Accounting Reconciliation Analyst for a direct hire position. This role is ideal for an entry-level to early-career finance professional looking to contribute to daily financial operations, ensure accurate banking records, and work within a collaborative accounting team. In-office presence is required, so only candidates based in the Atlanta area will be considered.

The successful candidate will handle critical daily banking activities, help detect irregularities or potential fraud, and support audits. Strong organizational and communication skills, coupled with excellent Excel proficiency, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple accounts

• Import and manage bank files into the accounting system

• Distribute daily reconciliation reports to appropriate departments

• Investigate and resolve banking issues

• Monitor transactions for any potential fraudulent activity

• Assist the accounting team with audit preparation and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 0–3 years of bank reconciliation or accounting-related experience

• Understanding of General Ledger (GL) transactions in banking context

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong communication and organizational skills are mandatory
