Principal Consultant

Description:

Infosys Consulting is looking for a Principal, Business Consulting to join their team in the Regulatory Change Management – Risk and Compliance division. This role will involve leading and managing consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, and developing relationships with senior client stakeholders. As a Principal, you will be responsible for leading large-scale change programs, especially in the financial services industry, and helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments. You will also contribute to the firm's growth by mentoring junior teams and advancing thought leadership in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of regulatory change programs and business change initiatives

• Gather and analyze key regulatory requirements, design data/process maps, and define workflow management and reporting requirements

• Work with clients on strategy and regulatory reporting transformation, particularly with key regulations (e.g., CCAR, BCBS 239, GDPR, etc.)

• Engage with regulators and internal audits to explain methodologies and testing results

• Collaborate with client functions such as Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to assess the impact of specific regulations

• Develop process efficiencies and contribute to data quality improvement projects

• Contribute to practice development through thought leadership, white papers, and innovative asset creation

• Lead business development activities, including creating client proposals and developing relationships with senior management and CXOs

• Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their career progression and development

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in the financial services industry

• Strong understanding of business, technology, and operations in a regulatory environment

• At least 7 years of experience in regulatory reporting, business analysis, or related fields in consulting or financial services

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of education

• Experience with regulations such as CCAR, BCBS 239, GDPR, MIFID, and others

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments

• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills

• Proficiency in business development, including exposure to sales cycles

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or advanced degree, certifications like CFA, FRM, etc.

• Domain knowledge in banking products such as deposits, loans, securities, derivatives

• Experience with products like Appian, Suade, Collibra, JIRA

• Knowledge of data analysis skills using SQL and reporting/visualization tools like Tableau

• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-cultural teams

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 100%, depending on client needs
