Description:
F&G (Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Actuarial Associate to join its Actuarial Valuation team. This role focuses on supporting regulatory projection and reporting initiatives, such as Cash Flow Testing, C3 Phase I, and reserve adequacy analyses. The position is part of the Actuarial Education Program, providing ongoing professional development, exam support, and rotational opportunities within the actuarial department.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with actuarial modeling software, and a keen understanding of life insurance and annuity products. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to drive accurate and efficient valuation processes.
Actuarial Modeling: Execute actuarial projections using GGY AXIS or similar modeling software to support cash flow testing, valuation, and regulatory reporting.
Data Preparation & Controls: Collect, prepare, and validate data inputs for actuarial models, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of model outputs and processes.
Analytical Review: Manage model outputs, perform in-depth analysis of results, and identify insights for business improvement.
Process Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation to ensure model transparency and reproducibility.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment and efficient execution of actuarial deliverables.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining valuation and reporting processes and contribute to implementing improvements.
Regulatory Reporting: Support regulatory filings and ensure adherence to actuarial standards, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
Strong understanding of actuarial principles and ability to apply them in complex valuation scenarios.
Experience with GGY AXIS or comparable actuarial modeling systems.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work efficiently in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
Collaborative team player capable of contributing effectively within small, focused teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 1 year of actuarial experience in the life insurance or annuities sector.
Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams or modules.
Familiarity with life insurance and annuity products preferred.
Exposure to regulatory projection and valuation frameworks desirable.
Minimal travel required (less than 10%).
Regular and punctual attendance expected.
Willingness to participate in continuous learning and professional growth.
