Application Engineer

Description:

Our client, a globally recognized leader in pump manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Application Engineer specializing in OEM industrial pumps. This role supports sales managers and representatives by ensuring efficient, accurate pump quotations and managing orders/projects. The position can be performed remotely and involves close coordination with Accounting, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

The Application Engineer will be responsible for generating prompt and accurate pump quotations, consolidating all necessary documentation for order processing, and maintaining/updating Bills of Materials (BOMs). The role includes creating and revising order specifications, preparing technical submittals, and collecting required documentation such as BOMs, drawings, performance curves, test data, and certifications. You will collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, determine root causes, and provide technical solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical support to the Customer Service department, manage engineering firm projects, analyze data, and apply exceptions when necessary.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and possess at least 2 years of direct experience with pumps or similar rotating industrial equipment such as compressors, turbines, or mechanical seals. Strong analytical skills, technical communication abilities, and the capacity to work across teams are essential.
