Assistant Vice President

Description:

US Tech Solutions is seeking an experienced professional for the role of AVP – Clearing & Margin Operations to support its global client base in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves direct interaction with clients to manage margin, cash, and collateral settlements, while ensuring compliance with strict regulatory rules such as CFTC regulations, NFA, JAC Margin Handbook, and CCP rulebooks.

The responsibilities include managing cash wires, securities movements, reconciliations, pledging collateral across exchanges, and notifying clients of margin obligations. The role also requires supporting the settlement lifecycle of execution and clearing activities, reconciling bank transactions, processing funding requests, monitoring accruals, and resolving operational issues with full ownership. Strong communication skills are essential for providing professional input in group settings and consistently delivering exceptional client service. The candidate must also be available to work on all U.S. holidays except Christmas and New Year’s.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly interact with global clients to handle margin, cash, and collateral settlements.

• Apply knowledge of CFTC regulations and LSOC rules for FCM clearing operations.

• Monitor client accounts, reconcile balances, and pledge collateral across exchanges.

• Notify clients of funding obligations and process their transaction requests.

• Support lifecycle operations for derivatives and OTC swap clearing.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide audit support.

• Proactively raise and resolve risk-related issues.

• Consistently deliver high-quality client service and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in futures margining and exchange-listed products.

• Strong knowledge of derivatives, capital markets trading, execution, or trade processing.

• Understanding of regulatory requirements for futures margining.

• Experience interacting with clients and audit teams.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot tables, formulas).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge across multiple systems and web interfaces.

• Microsoft Excel macros proficiency.

• Understanding of collateral transfers and CCP margin calculations.

• In-depth knowledge of CFTC regulations.
