CyberCoders, one of the largest Chicago-based public accounting firms, is seeking an Audit Senior to join its team in Chicago, IL. As an Audit Senior, you will play a critical role in conducting and supervising audits and accounting engagements, acting as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentoring junior staff. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, especially within the manufacturing industry, while ensuring compliance with professional standards and identifying opportunities to provide additional value-added services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and supervise all aspects of field work for audit and accounting engagements.

  • Supervise staff accountants, provide guidance, and prepare evaluation reports.

  • Complete and review financial statements, tax returns, and other special services.

  • Ensure accuracy of workpapers, statements, and tax filings before submission for management review.

  • Identify opportunities to provide clients with additional services and prepare management advisory letters.

  • Plan engagements including audit programs, scheduling, and time budgets.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • CPA license (or CPA candidate actively pursuing certification).

  • 3+ years of public accounting experience in audit.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with client-facing experience.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and research skills.

  • Previous experience with clients in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership abilities.
